About the Graduate Studies Division

The Graduate Studies Division is one of the important divisions in the college because of its important role in supporting the scientific process of the college and the university, and even the community in general and its public and private sectors

One of the activities of the Graduate Studies Division is to make a plan for accepting, receiving and checking the files of applicants for graduate studies, exporting administrative orders to accepted students, directing them and following up their files, as well as issuing administrative orders for the first and second extension, sending exam schedules and daily positions for the first and second semester exams, sending books to facilitate tasks to the various authorities to complete the practical part of the master's thesis, granting support books to the required authorities, issuing administrative orders for discussion dates, and preparing students' files for the discussion day until Issuance of university orders to grant the certificate, issuance of graduation documents in Arabic and English, with grades and without degrees, follow-up files of associates licensed to study master's and doctorate inside and outside Iraq, and the work of an annual report and university statistics for accepted students who are in the preparatory stage, research, their registrations, and graduates from the college 

The master's degree was introduced for the first time in the Faculty of Science in the academic year 2010-2011 in the Department of Life Sciences, and the process of developing graduate studies in all departments of the college except the Department of Mathematics continued, and currently there are meetings and correspondence taking place between the college and the ministry to develop a master's study in the Department of Mathematics and under the direct supervision of the presidency of the University of Kirkuk and it is possible that the development will take place in the academic year 2023-2024 

It is worth noting that the departments of life sciences and the department of chemistry have been introducing doctoral studies in these two departments since 2020, in addition to master's studies.
