About the Department

The Department of Physics was established in 2005 and graduated the first batch of the department (26 male and female students) in (2008-2009) and since the establishment of the department has been working to develop the capabilities and capabilities of its members of the teaching staff and technical and administrative staff and build laboratories and equip them with the latest scientific equipment and follow a modern curriculum and follow modern methods in teaching and the acquisition and delivery of information to make the graduate familiar with science, knowledge, experience and skills necessary to contribute to building society.

Objectives of the Department

Preparing scientifically qualified cadres to meet the needs of the labor market in the public education sector, higher institutes and others.
Preparing the student appropriately to qualify him to continue his studies in graduate programs in various universities inside and outside Iraq.
Providing many ministries and government research bodies with qualified researchers capable of working in various research centers such as the Center for Environmental Studies, the Center for Radiation Protection, the Standards and Metrology Organization, and scientific research centers in universities,.. Etc.
Attention to the development of curricula and elective courses (specialized) as well as research courses, where it was taken into account to include as much as possible
