College of Education for Pure Sciences Organizes a Workshop on the New Scientific Promotion Regulations

The Scientific Promotions Unit at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a seminar regarding the new scientific promotion regulations. The session was moderated by the Head of the Scientific Promotions Committee at the college, Professor Dr. Sahib Jumaa Abdulrahman.

The workshop aimed to introduce the new scientific promotion instructions adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and to clarify their operational mechanisms for faculty members and academic stakeholders.

The event, attended by the Dean, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and several faculty members and researchers from various departments, addressed the key provisions of the recently issued Instructions No. (10) of 2025. These regulations were published in the Official Gazette of Iraq (Al-Waqai' Al-Iraqiya) and will officially take effect one year after their publication date.

Furthermore, the session provided participants with the opportunity to raise inquiries regarding the utilization of these new regulations in preparing promotion dossiers and submitting them through the approved official channels. This initiative aligns with efforts to enhance transparency and the quality of academic performance.

This workshop is part of the college's ongoing efforts to foster professional culture among the teaching staff and to elevate the standards of scholarly publishing in accordance with modern criteria. It aims to stay abreast of the Ministry's strategic direction toward developing the scientific research ecosystem within Iraqi universities.
