Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry was established at the College of Education for Pure Sciences in the academic year 2014-2015. The department follows an annual academic system rather than a semester system. Graduates are awarded a Bachelor’s degree, and it is anticipated that postgraduate studies (Master’s) will be introduced in the coming years. Graduates are professionally qualified to serve as chemistry teachers in secondary schools[cite: 157].

Vision

Disseminating the principles of chemistry and providing opportunities to study various branches including organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry[cite: 160]. Future vision: Developing into an independent college.

Providing high-quality higher education and scientific programs specialized in skills required for secondary level teachers[cite: 158, 159].

Objectives

Preparing human cadres with expertise in chemistry, supporting distinguished students for postgraduate studies, and participating in scientific conferences[cite: 162, 163, 164].
