Clinical Laboratory Sciences Branch

The Clinical Laboratory Sciences Branch was established at the College of Pharmacy according to the book of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Department of Scientific Affairs 3/3/8606 on 9/6/2018 and according to University Order 7/17/11297 on 9/30/2018 issued at the University of Kirkuk and based on The necessary need for the College of Pharmacy and the Iraqi Ministry of Health to develop the scientific aspect of students studying in the field of chemical, physiological and pathological changes in the human body and various tissues and to know the relationship of other sciences to pharmacology.

Branch Vision:
The branch is interested in teaching basic medical sciences, such as anatomy, histology, physiology, life chemistry, microbiology (bacteria, viruses, and pathogenic parasites), health immunology, pathology, and pathological analyzes and their applications in theoretical and practical aspects, in addition to other mainstream sciences (medical physics, computers, mathematics, and biostatistics). The branch is also considering, in its scientific plan, the establishment of scientific laboratories specialized in (clinical biochemistry, biology and histology laboratory, anatomy laboratory, microbiology laboratory, medical physics and computers laboratory, and a laboratory for research and studies).
The branch also prepares many scientific seminars, trainings, and seminars that have a direct connection to society and citizens, medically and pharmaceutically.

Branch Message:
Graduating qualified students from the scientific, academic and applied aspects to provide the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Higher Education and some other ministries and society with individuals specialized in pharmacology.

Branch Goals:
The branch aims to prepare students of the College of Pharmacy and qualify them scientifically and academically with basic medical, scientific, and human information and their relationship with the pharmaceutical sciences, teaching students in the laboratory at all academic levels, and teaching them in hospitals to complete their scientific, medical, and pharmaceutical knowledge from academic and applied aspects.

The branch also aims to introduce postgraduate studies (higher diploma, master’s, and doctorate) in the specializations of clinical biochemistry, medical and pharmaceutical microbiology, and anatomy, physiology, and histology to supplement the branch and similar branches in other colleges with advanced scientific cadres.
