The College of Nursing Commences the Competitive Examination for Postgraduate Studies

Under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Dr. Hiwa Sattar Saleh, and in the presence of the Central Committee from the Presidency of the University of Kirkuk, the College of Nursing at the University of Kirkuk commenced the competitive examination for postgraduate applicants (Master’s degree) in the specialization of Nursing Sciences for the academic year 2026–2027, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

The Dean inspected the examination halls to oversee the progress of the exam, emphasizing the importance of adhering to ministerial instructions and regulations. He also stressed the need to provide all necessary supplies and requirements for the success of the examination process, creating an appropriate environment that enables students to take their exams smoothly and transparently.

His Excellency pointed out that the competitive examination is one of the primary criteria for differentiating between applicants for postgraduate admission, alongside the cumulative GPA, in accordance with the instructions and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He affirmed the college deanship's keenness to provide an organized, accurate, and fair examination environment to ensure equal opportunities for all applicants.

For his part, Professor Dr. Abdul Saleh Kumait, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, explained that the number of applicants taking the competitive examination for the Master’s program in Nursing Sciences reached (154) male and female students.

At the conclusion of the tour, the Dean expressed his sincere wishes to all applicants for continued success and excellence in achieving outstanding results that qualify them to join postgraduate programs. This will contribute to supporting the health sector with qualified scientific competencies that serve the community and advance the academic journey.
