Biochemistry Branch:
This Branch teaches basic chemistry to first-year students and biochemistry to second-year students.
The Branch goals:
1- Teaching students with comprehensive, intensive and integrated knowledge of the basics of biochemistry, especially clinical chemistry.
2- Guiding and directing students on methods to quote, coordinate, and apply theoretical and practical biochemistry terms in the medical field.
3- Assuring the student’s knowledge of the basic principles necessary to consider and understand the rules and foundations of biological and molecular chemistry in understanding the cause of various diseases and dysfunctions and their effects.
4- Preparing students with experience and skill in diagnosing, analyzing, and clarifying problems of clinical relevance.
5- Contributing to establish a solid base of knowledge for the student to comprehend and understand the practice of medicine and future its developments from a diagnostic and therapeutic perspective.
