Kirkuk Iraqi Board Center

Brief Overview of the Center:

The Iraqi Board of Medical Specializations established three board training centers (Doctorate level) in Kirkuk, affiliated with the College of Medicine. The first was the Internal Medicine Center in 2015, followed by the Surgery Center in 2016, then the Obstetrics & Gynecology Center in 2017, the Orthopedic Surgery Center in 2020, and finally the Pediatrics Center in 2022.

Center Objectives

The center's mission is to supervise and train students of the Iraqi Board of Medical Specializations who aim to obtain board certification in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, and Obstetrics & Gynecology (Doctorate level) at Azadi Teaching Hospital. The center also organizes scientific activities for students, such as:

- Case presentations.

- Seminars.

- Journal clubs.

- Medical lectures.

Admission is centralized through the Iraqi Board of Medical Specializations in Baghdad.

The center currently hosts 63 students across different stages and specializations, as follows:
