Surgery Branch:
It is one of the scientific branch and includes all surgical specialties, such as general surgery, urinary tract surgery, orthopedic surgery, and diagnostic radiology.
The branch goals:
Our goal is to teach our student to be able to:
1- To take a complete history and clinical examination of surgical cases.
2- To deal with emergency cases regarding diagnosis and treatment.
3- To perform minor surgical skills, for example, suturing wounds, urethral catheterization, stabilizing fractures, placing an intravenous line, inserting an endotracheal tube.
4- To diagnose common surgical conditions.
5- Attending operating theaters and following surgical operations and how to handle surgical and anesthetic tools.
6- Attending breast, gastrointestinal, radiology, and emergency branch consultation clinics in order to be familiar with the skills performed in these branchs.
