The tenth College of Engineering Council meeting of the 22nd open session

Under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Kirkuk (Prof. Dr. Celnik Akram Omar), and accompanied by the Messrs. Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Mr. Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, and in the presence of the heads of scientific departments, the Secretary of the Council, and a number of rapporteurs of the scientific departments and members of committees in the college, the College Council held its tenth regular session. The session included discussion of many topics, including ministerial directives and the presidency of the university regarding attention to scientific aspects and their integrity with regard to the quality of writing scientific research, encouragement to publish research in international journals, and other matters related to the affairs of teachers and employees, joining efforts and focusing on the academic aspect, facilitating employee affairs, and spreading the culture of teaching and learning among affiliates and students. And evaluating the educational process.
The Council also discussed other directives of the University President, such as urging faculty and staff to adhere to the legal context in all administrative procedures.
In implementation of the directives of the university presidency, the Dean urged the teaching staff to publish scientific research annually in scientific journals, whether Iraqi, Arab or international, and to stay away from predatory journals to raise the scientific level of the university, college and department. Based on the directives of the university presidency, the Dean directed us to adhere to the administrative and legal contexts in all administrative and scientific transactions.
In addition, the postgraduate study plan for the academic year 2025-2026 was discussed, and the study period for postgraduate (master’s) students was extended.
