On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the College of Engineering Council held its twentieth session for the current academic year, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Jelnik Akram Omar, Dean of the College and Chairman of the Council. The session was attended by all esteemed members of the Council, including the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, and the heads of scientific departments.
The session's agenda included many items that were discussed and the necessary decisions were taken. The session discussed the directives of the Honorable President of the University to the deans of colleges, which relate to enhancing cooperation with government departments and ensuring the continuity of institutional accreditation for colleges. The importance of cleanliness and maintaining the university environment was also emphasized. It included directives from the University President regarding cooperation with government departments and maintaining public cleanliness on campus.
With regard to academic affairs, the start dates for the final exams for the second round were discussed, and appropriate recommendations were made. Requests for granting leave were also discussed and appropriate decisions were taken regarding them. The preparation of all necessary requirements for holding an exhibition of graduation projects and artistic activities was also discussed.
As for the powers of the College Council, a date has been set for holding the graduation projects exhibition and artistic events, and a specific date has been approved for that. The session concluded with wishes of good luck to everyone and success to the students and employees in their work tasks, and thus the minutes were concluded.
