Human Resources Department
This division manages and organises all permanent personnels’ (academic and non-academic) affairs such as issuing letters regarding their transfer, appointment, and temporal affiliation.
The division is structured into the following units:
- Personal dossier Unit
- Incoming/outgoing Correspondences Unit.
- Personnel Unit.
- Pensions Unit.
- IDs Unit.
- Electronic Archives Unit.
- Information Unit.
- Managerial Services Unit.
Currently the faculty comprises 170 permanent personnel: 106 academic staff and 64 non-academic, in addition to personnel on temporary contracts. Humane resources handles the following tasks:
- Managing and following up the responsibilities of its sub-division departments
- Officially responding to all incoming letters to the faculty except those intended for the departments of Registration, Academic affairs, and Legal affairs.
- Preparing and issuing personnel attendance forms monthly indicating leave of absence.
- Issuing letters to medical centres seeking professional medical advice and treatment for personnel and issuing sick leave letters when relevant
- Managing, updating and alphabetically ordering personnel personal dossiers
- Following up long term leave of absence for personnel and tracking their registration ( pre- and post maternity leave, maternity leave, sick leave, leave of absence without pay)
- Issuing and distributing letters regarding the formation of various committees.
- Issuing, distributing, and monitoring civil defence timetables.
- Photocopying outgoing mail for archiving.
- Following up, and issuing monthly letters regarding personnels’ eligibility for annual raise according to a specific mechanism
- Following up the eligibility of employees’ for promotion and issuing the relevant letters for the presidency of the university.
- Adopting electronic management system at the departmental level
- Establishment of database for the human resources department
- Updating and synchronising personnel periodically with the presidency of the university
- Archiving adminsterial documents annually
- Recording personnel information regarding their eligibility for retirement
- The distribution of incoming and outgoing mail to the relevant departments in the faculty
- Monitoring the electronic signing in for all non-academic personnel for both morning and evening studies
- Establishing personal dossiers for temporary employees and monitoring their attendance register monthly
- Distributing the monthly attendance register of temporary employees to relevant faculties
- Issuing students’ IDs
- Following up incoming and outgoing mail relevant to evening studies at the faculty
