English About Geographic Department
The department of geography is one of the practical departments in the College of Education for Humanities. It was established in 2005. This department works to provide both the Iraqi Ministry of Education with teachers majored in geography and other federal institutions with a staff majored in the same discipline.
The vision of the Department
The department of geography is in the state of a continuous updating of its classes and syllabi. It looks forward to graduating a generation who is ready to serve the nation through studying all of its data deeply.
Goals of the Department
The department focuses on graduating students who:
1-Get enough information and comprehension of important geographical locations.
2-Get enough information about different environments and comprehend them.
3-Understand technology and know how to use it in practical and scientific researches.
4-Develop the best understanding and comprehension of the environment.
5-Develop the best comprehension of the importance of available working opportunities for human beings and laboring.
6-Teach geography in elementary and high schools.
7-Write researches about the main problems in the society.
