English Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education: An Overview
The department was established in (2004 AD, 1424 A.H.). It provides students with subjects related to Quranic Sciences and Islamic education, and equipping them with necessary shills they need regarding efficient teaching after graduation, besides preparing them in their specialization need in their teaching in their secondary schools. These subjects constitute 70% of the total curriculum for the four stages in departments of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education according to the nature of the objectives of these colleges.
Vision:
The Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education considers the necessity of teaching students the sciences of Islamic education in a way that serves the true Islamic religion and the supreme interest of the country according to programs that depend on scientific sobriety in teaching and scientific research with the support of providing the student with solid scientific know ledge and methodology.
The Message:
Employing plans and the procedures related to Quranic Knowledge and the Prophet's Sunnah to lay down academic, intellectual, and practical curriculum is a comprehensive and in culusive foundation for spreading the culture of reform, building society, love of the homeland , and respect for identity and belonging. The department adopts the project of teaching Islamic education subjects in creating a constructive generation that protects religion and preserves concepts in reality in order to build a society starting from prosperity and civilization through an integrated scientific model.
Department Goals:
Preparing educational teaching caders distinguished by Quranic, Islamic culture.
*Preparing a generation cognizant of the knowledge horizons of the Quranic.
* Furnishing secondary schools with teachers of Islamic education, are able to have a constructive effect on the student .
*Academically qualifying students in a manner that is fully consistent with the requirements of the labor market in particular, besides teaching different subject's in different stages.
*Preparing papers related to Islamic education and Islamic thought .
*The basic tasks of the Department of Islamic Education on three basic pillars, they are: (scientific development, scientific research, and serving community).
