About the College of Education for Humanities:

The College of Education for Humanities is one of the pioneering colleges at the University of Kirkuk. It was established on 2002/7/21, which is one of the largest colleges in terms of the number of its teaching and employment cadres and the number of its students. It included, upon its establishment, three departments (Arabic Language - English Language - History) and five scientific departments were created in the academic year 2006-2005, (Sciences of the Qur’an and Islamic Education - Geography - Kurdish Language - Turkish Language - Physical Education which was the nucleus for the establishment of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences). The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences was also created during the academic year (2014-2013), and it includes the morning and evening studies, and is in charge of teaching and supervision Students must have a distinguished group of teaching cadres undertaking the task of preparing students scientifically and educationally, supported by a group of administrative and technical staff who all strive and contribute to supporting the academic and educational process of the college and directing it towards advancement and progress. Master's and doctorate degrees in Arabic language and literature, as well as a master's degree in the sciences of the Qur’an and Islamic education. For educational and psychological sciences, history and geography, and efforts are continuing to develop postgraduate studies in other departments, in addition to work to create a higher diploma in psychological operations within the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, and the college seeks to achieve its goals in preparing distinguished educational cadres to supplement middle, middle and high schools with the teaching staff that contribute to Upgrading the educational reality in Iraq in general and Kirkuk Governorate in particular.
