Overview
The Graduate Studies Division at the College of Education for Human Sciences was established in the academic year 2012-2013, beginning with the Department of Arabic Language (Master’s in Arabic Language/Literature). In 2015-2016, the Master’s in Arabic Language/Linguistics was introduced, followed by the PhD program in Arabic Language in 2017-2018. Subsequently, programs were launched in the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education (2018-2019), followed by Geography, Educational and Psychological Sciences, and History in the years that followed.
Administrative Structure
The Scientific Committee in the Arabic Language Department consists of a Chairman, a Rapporteur, and four members. The Scientific Committee in the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education consists of a Chairman and a Rapporteur. The Administrative Division consists of the Division Manager and specialized staff responsible for the distribution of administrative tasks.
Receiving and auditing applicant files by the specialized committee.
Issuing administrative orders for accepted students and organizing their files.
Issuing administrative orders for appointing advisors/supervisors and approving research titles.
Monitoring examination affairs, maintaining records, and general correspondence.
Collecting statistics for accepted and graduating students via the University Statistical System.
Monitoring student funding, tuition payments, and issuing payment receipts.
Managing the receipt of research theses and communicating with scientific and intellectual experts.
Issuing administrative orders for thesis defenses and following up on corrections.
Monitoring clearance forms (Bara’at al-Dhimma) and granting certificates after official approval.
Assigned Duties: Overall supervision of the division's tasks, responding to official letters and internal memos.
Technical and Cognitive Skills: Computer skills, translation between Turkish and Arabic.
Assigned Duties: Supervising the organization of graduate files (PhD and Master's), statistics, electronic systems, and managing the electronic document verification system (QR Code). Handling correspondence for the Department of Geography (Master’s program).
Assigned Duties: Supervising the archiving, registration, and distribution of mail (incoming and outgoing). Handling correspondence for the Departments of Kurdish Language (Master’s) and History (Master’s).
Assigned Duties: Supervising the recording of graduate student defense sessions. Handling correspondence for the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences (Master’s program).
Assigned Duties: Supervising student status (study extensions, study leaves). Handling correspondence for the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education (Master’s) and the Arabic Language Department (PhD and Master’s).
