About the Department
The Department of Kurdish Language was established in the academic year 2004-2005 due to the need for Kurdish language teachers in Kirkuk schools, particularly in schools with Kurdish-based education and within predominantly Kurdish areas.

Strategic Vision
The Department of Kurdish Language at the College of Education for Human Sciences seeks to achieve quality and excellence over the coming years. It aims to occupy a prominent position within the college and the Ministry's plan by graduating students capable of competing in the labor market, providing a distinguished educational environment, and fostering a climate that stimulates both theoretical and field-based scientific research, leading in academic programs and scientific research.

The department's mission is to effectively contribute to meeting community needs at local and regional levels. It aims to disseminate knowledge theoretically and practically according to international standards and professional ethics. This mission extends to faculty members through enriching literary and linguistic sciences via original research, community services, workshops, and keeping pace with changes in educational sciences.
