About the Department

The Department of History is one of the first three departments formed in the College of Education in July 2002, which was then affiliated with the University of Mosul. Subsequently, the College of Education became one of the constituent colleges of the University of Kirkuk, established on January 23, 2003.

Preparing specialized educational cadres in history at a distinguished level consistent with quality and accreditation standards, alongside ethical and spiritual values to build a knowledge-driven society where science prevails. It aims to enrich the minds of future generations and stimulate them towards sound scientific thinking and research.
