A scientific symposium at the College of Education for Humanities titled "Abandoning the Qur'an during Ramadan"

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, the Department of Qur'anic Sciences and Islamic Education, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division, organized a scientific symposium titled "Abandoning the Qur'an during Ramadan." The symposium addressed the phenomenon of abandoning the Qur'an, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, which is the month of the Qur'an, contemplation, and recitation. The lecturers highlighted the types of abandonment of the Qur'an, its causes, and its impact on individuals and Islamic societies. The symposium also discussed effective ways to strengthen the connection to the Qur'an and invest the holy month in contemplating and applying its verses. They emphasized that distancing oneself from the Book of God weakens religious awareness and negatively impacts society's spiritual and behavioral values. The Dean praised the importance of the symposium's topic, emphasizing that reviving the spirit of interaction with the Qur'an is not limited to recitation alone, but also includes contemplation and implementation of its teachings, especially during the month of Ramadan, which is an opportunity to renew the covenant with the Book of God. He also called for intensified efforts to spread Qur'anic awareness among students and society
