Scientific symposium on intellectual extremism in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Farhad Aziz Mohiuddin, the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, held a scientific symposium entitled "Intellectual Extremism: Causes, Effects and Treatment Methods" within the framework of the college's efforts to enhance intellectual and educational awareness among students. The symposium addressed the concept of intellectual extremism, its psychological and social dimensions, and the reasons for its spread in societies, in addition to the role of educational institutions in confronting this phenomenon. The lecturers also reviewed educational and preventive methods to limit the spread of extremist thought and stressed the importance of promoting a culture of dialogue and tolerance among individuals. The Dean praised the importance of addressing such issues in academic institutions, noting that education and awareness represent the cornerstone in building an aware generation capable of confronting destructive ideas. He also commended the efforts made in organizing the symposium, calling for the continuation of holding events that promote moderate thought.
