A lecturer from the College of Education for Human Sciences participates in the discussion of a doctoral thesis

The lecturer in the Department of Geography, Assistant Professor Dr. Tufan Sattam Hassan, participated in the discussion of the doctoral thesis entitled (Spatial disparity in the status of retirees in Salah al-Din Governorate) for the student Rawida Saad Jaber, in the hall of the College of Education for Human Sciences at Tikrit University on 9/8/2024.

The study dealt with the spatial distribution of the retirees segment at the level of administrative units in Salah al-Din Governorate and the most important reasons behind this disparity, in addition to studying the social, economic and psychological factors that affected this segment in society. The study showed that retirees in Salah al-Din Governorate suffer from economic, social, health and psychological conditions that are not appropriate for their ages. The study concluded that the change in the retirement age from 63 years to 60 years led to a significant increase in the percentage of retirees, especially in the main urban centers in the governorate.
