Scientific Seminar Entitled “First Aid”

 

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, and within the framework of scientific activities aimed at promoting health awareness and developing students’ life skills, a distinguished scientific seminar entitled “First Aid” was held, with the attendance of a select group from the Follow-up Division.
The seminar was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Diaa Al-Rahman Hussein Abdullah, a faculty member at the College of Nursing. He presented a comprehensive scientific lecture addressing the fundamental concepts of first aid and its importance in saving lives and reducing the severity of injuries in emergency situations.
The seminar also covered several key topics, including:
- An introduction to first aid and its vital role in society.
- Basic principles for dealing with injuries and sudden accidents.
- Proper response to cases of fainting, bleeding, burns, and choking.
- Steps of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and its importance in saving lives.
- General safety guidelines, particularly in educational environments.
The seminar witnessed notable interaction from the students, who raised numerous questions and inquiries. These were answered by the lecturer in a precise scientific manner, contributing to enriching the discussion and enhancing the academic benefit.
