College of Basic Education – University of Kirkuk 
Under the patronage of the esteemed President of the University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, the Continuing Education Division at the college organized a scientific seminar titled "Social Leaderships and Their Role in Promoting Societal Peace" on Sunday, December 21, 2025. The lecture was conducted by the instructor in the Kindergarten Department Mr. Riyad Abbas Hussein, and the seminar addressed the role of social leadership in supporting societal stability, the mechanisms of its contribution to reducing conflicts, and promoting a culture of dialog and understanding among various components of society, as well as outlining its ethical and social responsibility in guiding public opinion toward rejecting violence and instilling the values of tolerance.
The seminar emphasized the importance of integration between academic institutions, social leaderships, and state institutions in building a cohesive society, capable of facing challenges and achieving sustainable societal peace.
At the end of the seminar, the participants came up with a number of recommendations that emphasized the necessity of supporting community initiatives, activating the university's role in communicating with the community, and enhancing studies and research that address issues of societal peace.
