Prof. Dr. Sakeena Ali Kareem.

The symposium opened with a welcoming speech, which emphasized the importance of this event in renewing society’s understanding of the principles of the Hussaini revolution and the status of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage as a civilizational and humanitarian symbol that embodies the values of sacrifice and justice.
The symposium featured several themes, including:
The moral and spiritual dimensions of the Battle of Al-Taff.
The development of the Arbaeen pilgrimage from cultural and social perspectives.
The contemporary messages conveyed through the commemoration of the pilgrimage in light of current challenges.

Faculty members and staff of the college participated in the symposium, which also included discussions that enriched the dialogue and shed light on the historical and religious aspects of the event. Participants affirmed that the Battle of Al-Taff is not merely a past incident but a living legacy that inspires reformist movements in our contemporary world.
Several attendees also stressed the necessity of repeating such symposia for students, given their importance and the real need to instill noble values and principles in our students.
