A scientific workshop titled: "Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentation"

Under the patronage of the esteemed President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, the staff of the Continuing Education Division presented a scientific workshop titled: "Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentation."

Delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Louay Najm Jirjis, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10:30 AM, in the hall of the First Grade Teacher Department.

The workshop witnessed active participation from most students of the first-grade teachers and kindergarten departments, as the students showed remarkable interaction with the workshop's themes, given the importance of Arabic calligraphy and decoration in the educational and aesthetic aspects within the educational environment.

The workshop aimed to develop students' artistic skills and enhance their awareness of the value of Arabic calligraphy as an element of cultural identity, in addition to its role in supporting both curricular and extracurricular activities, especially in the early educational stages.

The workshop concluded with practical applications and student discussions that enriched the workshop's topic and contributed to achieving its objectives.
