
Under the patronage of the esteemed President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal, and under the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Basic Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, the College of Basic Education organized a scientific seminar titled: "International Women's Day" in collaboration with:
*Continuing Education Unit
* Women's Affairs Unit
* Human Rights Unit
The seminar was held in the college's conference hall and began with a speech by the esteemed Dean of the College of Basic Education, who emphasized the importance of women's role in building society, stating: "Women are the safety valve of societies and a fundamental pillar in building generations. Empowering them is empowering the nation, and supporting them is a national duty, not a mere cultural luxury." He added that the college places great importance on supporting women academically and professionally, and is keen on organizing scientific activities that highlight their issues and enhance their societal participation. After that, Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Khalifa delivered a scientific lecture discussing the role of women in society, emphasizing the importance of empowering them in various fields, from education and work to political and social rights, while highlighting the challenges they face and ways to improve their situation.
