Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Basic Education, Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, the Continuing Education Division at the College of Basic Education organized a scientific seminar entitled “Training and Practical Competencies in Music Education.” The seminar was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Sawsan Muwafaq Tawfiq as part of the College’s ongoing efforts to promote scientific and cultural activities and enhance the academic and professional competencies of teaching and educational staff.
The seminar highlighted the importance of training and practical competencies in the field of music education, emphasizing their fundamental role in developing artistic and pedagogical capabilities and fostering learners’ practical skills. Furthermore, it underscored the significance of these competencies in preparing qualified educators capable of effectively integrating musical activities into educational institutions through scientifically grounded and pedagogically sound approaches.
