Inauguration of the Department of English Language at the College of Arts

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Prof. Dr. Omer Najm Al-Deen Enjeh, the Department of English Language at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk, was inaugurated on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

The Dean of the College of Arts delivered a speech on the occasion of the department's opening, emphasizing the department's importance to the city of Kirkuk and the significance of learning the English language. He also highlighted its relevance to higher education, scientific research, and the job market.

For his part, the Head of the Department of English Language, Dr. Youif Khorsheed Saeed, expressed in his speech that the establishment of this department responds to the urgent need to develop language education. He emphasized the department's commitment to achieving its goals and vision by striving to offer distinguished educational programs that will contribute to the development of a generation of outstanding students capable of interacting effectively and efficiently in a world that increasingly relies on the English language, particularly in all sectors of the state.
