Master’s Thesis Defense on the History of Daquq at the College of Arts

A master's thesis by student Nora Adel Sami, titled "Daquq 1879–1985: A Historical Study," was defended at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk.

The thesis aimed to highlight the historical role of the city of Daquq from economic and cultural perspectives, in addition to its religious significance, as it is home to several religious shrines and historical landmarks.

The study concluded that throughout its history, Daquq served as a vital hub for trade caravans, distinguished by its unique tangible and intangible heritage. It also revealed that the city represents an expressive model of peaceful coexistence among diverse ethnicities and religions across the eras.
