A Research Lecture on Applied Geography at the College of Arts

The Department of Applied Geography at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk, organized a scientific research lecture on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Burkan Osman. The lecture, titled (Applied Geography: Its Concept and Applications), was delivered by Professor Yaseen Muqdad.

The lecture provided a detailed explanation for the department’s faculty members and first-year students about the meaning of applied geography and its areas of work or practical application.

The aim of the lecture was to explore the relationship between geography and the supporting sciences that assist geographers in studying phenomena from various dimensions. It emphasized the importance of utilizing concepts and techniques from other sciences to facilitate better understanding and more accurate conclusions.
