College of Arts Holds a Scientific Symposium

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Omran Jamal Hassan, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Omer Najim_Aldeen Enja, College of Arts / Department of Continuing Education, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism – Kirkuk Office, held a scientific symposium titled "The Prophetic Sunnah: Its Importance, Legitimacy, and Its Role in Reducing Extremism."

The symposium took place in the activities hall of the College of Arts on Wednesday morning (September 25, 2024), in the presence of a group of faculty members and students. Attendees observed a minute of silence in mourning for the martyrs in Lebanon and Gaza, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran and the playing of the Iraqi national anthem.

In a brief speech during the symposium, the Dean emphasized the importance of standing collectively and united as one to oppose the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and Gaza and the ongoing acts of genocide against innocent people.

Several speeches were also delivered by professors and guests attending the symposium.
