An awareness workshop was held at the College of Arts on the role of women in promoting a culture of volunteerism

An educational awareness workshop titled "The Role of Women in Promoting a Culture of Volunteerism and Environmental Protection" was held at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk.

Lectures were delivered during the workshop by Professor Dr. Salwa Jarges Salman and Assistant Lecturer Ruqaya Ihsan Ali. They highlighted that volunteerism is an ancient and global phenomenon representing spontaneous human behavior towards doing good and offering a helping hand to others, thereby embodying the ethical and religious values that express human motivations and emotional feelings deeply rooted in the human psyche.
