The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts - University of Kirkuk held a cultural festival about heritage, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Omar Najm al-Din Injeh, his administrative and scientific assistants, and the department’s professors.
The festival was held at the college headquarters and was titled (From Heritage We Move to a Promising Future), and included several sections organized by the students, including an exhibition of paintings by Arab poets, writers, and scholars, which represent stages in the history of Arab literature and embody the remembrance of the identity of their culture and pride in them, in addition to holding an eloquent Arabic poetry festival. And popular, with a display of costumes, foods, and traditional folklore images of the nationalities present in the cities of Kirkuk, the city of brotherhood and peace.
The Dean of the College stressed that such a cultural festival has a positive impact on the culture and awareness of society from a scientific and practical perspective, instilling love and affection among students and motivating them to preserve heritage.
