Dean of the College of Arts Visits the Language Center at the University of Jordan

As part of his visit to the University of Jordan, based on an official invitation, the Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Omar Najm Al-Din Inja, visited the university’s Language Center.

The Dean met with the Director of the Center, Professor Dr. Ismail Al-Saudi, to learn about the center’s activities and the services it offers to students by teaching Arabic and English language skills in a manner consistent with modern requirements and students’ needs to develop their language abilities. This is essential to prepare them for continuing their undergraduate or postgraduate studies at the university, particularly in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers and English for all academic disciplines.

The visit aimed to exchange expertise on how to develop educational programs and training courses in teaching Arabic to foreign and non-native students, enabling them to pursue their studies at the College of Arts and overcome the challenges they face. This comes especially as the college has recently welcomed foreign students under the "Study in Iraq" program and is in need of such expertise and successful experiences.

The center receives thousands of students annually from various Arab and foreign nationalities. Their courses are mandatory and are distributed based on the students’ proficiency levels, with some lasting up to six months.

Both parties agreed to include a special clause about the center’s work in the draft agreement between the two institutions.
