A faculty member from the Department of History chairs a PhD. Thesis defense committee at Soran University

On Sunday, August 25, 2024, Professor Dr. Dilshad Omar Abdulaziz, a faculty member in the Department of History at the College of Arts, University of Kirkuk, chaired the committee for the defense of a PhD thesis titled: 'The Policy of Deportation and Forced Displacement in Erbil Governorate (1975-1990)' by researcher Ribaz Dlawer Omar. The discussion took place in the auditorium of the College of Arts at Soran University.

The study aimed to highlight the objectives and motives of the dissolved Ba'ath Party in implementing the policy of deportation and forced displacement against the civilian population in Erbil Governorate during the years 1975-1990.

The researcher was awarded a PhD in Modern and Contemporary History with a grade of 'Satisfactory'."
