A lecturer from the College of Arts participates in a seminar on contemporary Arabic language

M.D. Mustafa Salih, a lecturer in the Arabic Language Department at the College of Arts, participated in a seminar organized by the College of Law at the University of Kirkuk on the challenges of contemporary Arabic language.

During the seminar, he spoke about the nature of the relationship between language and culture, considering language a cultural incubator that does not stop at its communicative function only, but goes beyond that to express the connotations of language and the cultural focal point from which it emerged. He emphasized the necessity of intensifying institutional efforts to preserve the Arabic language as one of the pillars of identity.
