History department

About the department:

The Department of History was established in the College of Arts in the academic year (2014-2015) to provide educational institutions with graduates who possess historical culture and to aspire to achieve the goals of higher education in spreading education and historical culture, and to strive to keep pace with scientific development, in creating an academic body specialized in history to support quality and scientific sobriety. Towards differentiation and competition locally, regionally and globally.

Department vision:

Preparing researchers in various historical disciplines who are qualified for scientific research in educational institutions and research centers in the country, and promoting a culture of tolerance among students and faculty and commitment to the ethics of humanitarian work in the service of society.

Department objectives:

Developing the graduate’s leadership and professional personality as a scientific researcher in the field of history.
Adopting modern theories reached by contemporary studies in teaching history in a scientific spirit devoid of private ideas and ideologies.
Continuous improvement of faculty members, focusing on the necessity of using the latest educational methods through electronic programs, mastering living international languages, activating quality assurance and university performance standards, and international standards for the ratio of the number of teaching staff to students.
