The Graduate Studies Unit is one of the important units that operates under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, according to the organizational structure of the College. This unit is responsible for many administrative and academic tasks, most notably organizing and managing the files of graduate students and monitoring their academic progress from the time of admission and enrollment until the issuance of the official university order confirming their graduation.
Administrative Duties of the Graduate Studies Unit
- Preparing and standardizing the annual admission plan for graduate studies.
- Supervising applications for study leave on an annual basis and reviewing them for approval by the Ministry.
- Receiving and reviewing the files of applicants to graduate studies programs.
- Preparing examination halls for the competitive examination and receiving final grades from the examination committee for review and verification.
- Issuing administrative orders for admission after the issuance of the official university order.
- Issuing administrative orders for student enrollment after students report to their respective departments.
- Sending verification requests for documents and study leaves submitted by applicants.
- Issuing administrative orders for the registration of graduation research projects.
- Submitting all requirements for obtaining the Master’s degree to the Graduate Studies Department at the University Presidency in order to issue the official university degree order.
- Issuing administrative orders for extensions for students who fail to complete their studies within the specified period.
- Issuing administrative orders for cancellation of enrollment for students who fail or do not complete the required documents.
- All the above-mentioned administrative orders are issued only after approval by the College Council, followed by the issuance of the official university order, and then the administrative order.
- Certifying and issuing official documents for graduate students.
