The College of Agriculture/Hawija organizes a scientific symposium on the role of green chemistry in reducing climate change

The College of Agriculture in Hawija at the University of Kirkuk organized a scientific seminar titled "The Role of Green Chemistry in Mitigating Climate Change," with the participation of the dean, faculty members, and students of the college.

The seminar covered two main topics, where both sides emphasized the necessity of green chemistry, especially considering the chemical developments that have brought about environmental problems and unexpected side effects. Additionally, the discussion focused on its role in reducing the number and intensity of natural disasters resulting from global warming. Green chemistry also plays a crucial role in preventing the formation of acid rain, which can harm all forms of life. Furthermore, it significantly contributes to preventing the accumulation of harmful waste in various forms (gaseous, liquid, or solid), providing protection for all living organisms, particularly those endangered, and enhancing agricultural crop productivity by eliminating chemical and gaseous pollutant
