Students of the Department of Medicinal Plants went on a scientific trip to the Scientific Consulting Laboratory to explore techniques for extracting plant compounds.

The Department of Medicinal Plants at the College of Medicinal and Industrial Plants organized a scientific trip for its students to the Scientific Consulting Office and Laboratory, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Suzan Tahseen Mohammed.

During the visit, students were introduced to the latest devices and techniques used in extracting natural compounds from plants, as well as methods for isolating and concentrating active molecules in various forms, such as aqueous and alcoholic extracts and essential oils. Additionally, the discussion covered the mechanisms by which these compounds combat diseases and pests, enhancing students' understanding of practical applications in the field of medicinal and industrial plants.
