A scientific trip for students of the College of Education for Pure Sciences - Department of Biological Sciences to the Museum of Natural History at University of Mosul

On Wednesday, 12/27/2023 AD, the Department of Biological Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a scientific trip with a group of third-grade students to the Natural History Museum at the University of Mosul, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Adel Ali Haider and with a group of academic staff from the Department of Biological Sciences in our college. The visiting delegation was received by the director of the museum, Dr. Israa Ghanem Al-Sammak, along with a number of her staff. They provided a comprehensive explanation of the history of the museum and its assets, including mummified and preserved organisms, and how to mummify animals, as well as providing some aquatic environments for some fish. After that, the students made tours inside the museum to learn about these models. Taking Photos and asking questions to those concerned in this field about these assets, their sources, and methods of collecting them. In conclusion, the visiting delegation expressed their deep thanks and gratitude to the museum staff for the warm reception, as well as for all the procedures and facilities they provided to make this visit a success.
