English The Department of Biological Sciences at the College of Education for Pure Sciences / Kirkuk University, under the direct supervision of the Head of the Department of Biological Sciences, Dr. Qays Assi Ahmed, organized an awareness campaign, fumigating and sterilizing all the department’s corridors from coronavirus variants, based on the directives of the Ministry of Health in raising awareness about taking the necessary measures for prevention. From infection to preserve the health and safety of our students.
The Head of the Department of Biological Sciences stated that the disinfection and sterilization campaign included all the department’s corridors, including classrooms, scientific laboratories, and the department’s corridors in the college, in addition to the administrative offices, conference hall, internal corridors, and sanitary, to prevent the spread of coronavirus variants and to preserve the safety of the college’s employees and students.
Dr. Hoda Mouloud Taher, a lecturer from the Department of Biological Sciences in our college, stated that the sterilization process took place by spraying all the department’s corridors, halls, and laboratories with a sterile and environmentally friendly substance to eliminate all viruses, including coronavirus variants, and that this campaign is part of a series of campaigns conducted by the committee in All university formations.
The Director of the Student Activities Unit at the college, Mr. Tariq Taha Ali Awad, accompanied and participated.
Several college students also took the initiative to publish awareness and educational posters in the college’s external and internal corridors, including comprehensive information about coronavirus variants, its symptoms, methods of transmission, and ways to prevent it. This initiative was supervised by several teachers from the Department of Biological Sciences.
