Department of Physics

     The Department of Physics is one of the important scientific departments in the College of Education for Pure Sciences, was established at the College in the academic year 2012. It includes a number of academic staff with different certificates and degrees and in different specializations in the physical sciences.

     The Department of Physics is always present and accompanies the development taking place at the University of Kirkuk through its contribution to providing modern sciences in physics to the students of the College of Science (Department of Physics) and the students of the College of Medicine and the College of Veterinary Medicine. Outside the university, it participated in teaching graduate students in the Department of Physics - College of Science / University of Diyala, in addition to teaching students of the University of Technology in the field of graduate study, all thanks to distinguished professors in the department.

     As for scientific research and projects, due to the excellence of researchers in the department, they were able to partner with other specializations (medical, engineering, pure sciences... and others) for the purpose of joint supervision on modern topics to serve the community.

Vision:-

     Providing a distinguished scientific environment to reach the highest standards for contributing to community service, thus enhancing the role of the Physics Department in the academic aspect and scientific research, and balancing between the requirements of the labor market and preparation requirements.

Message: -

     The Department of Physics is to be a pioneer in the field of education and scientific research, which contributes to the development of society by providing it with highly qualified graduates.

Objectives:-

     Preparing distinguished graduates in the field of physics and its applications in accordance with modern quality standards to be able to teach physics in schools of the general education system.
