  The College of Computer Science and Information Technology\ Continuing Education Division, in cooperation with the Software Department, organized a workshop on how to manage a session at an international academic conference, during which the head of the department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Fakhr El-Din, gave a lecture that clarified the responsibilities that fall on the session chair and summarized them in several points. These include committing to time in starting and ending each presentation, preparing a schedule of presentations presented by the researchers in the session, and preparing a set of questions about each presentation, He also touched on how to remind the researcher when the allotted time has expired, and how to deal with the audience’s questions in terms of the type of question and the method of dealing with the questions. The lecturer also provided examples of question formats that the session chair can use in the field of research. The session was attended by a number of teaching staff, researchers, and college employees.
