DEAN'S SPEECH

Dean's Message:

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology was found to meet the urgent need for a qualified workforce to support the public and private sectors. A workforce capable of using technology and up-to-date IT applications in a time where both sectors heavily depend on technology. The establishment of this college was a significant achievement for the city of Kirkuk specifically and for the entire country in general. This college has three main departments (Computer Sciences, Network, and Programing) which are considered the most important departments in the field of computer science and information technology. These three specialized departments have many benefits for graduated students by developing their capabilities to cope with technological advancement worldwide.

Additionally, after obtaining all official acceptances from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, post-graduate studies in computer science were established in our college in the year 2020-2021 which will have significant importance in solving many problems using scientific research that will be conducted by students and supervisors. This achievement will open enormous prospects in many directions such as establishing partnerships with other universities. Most important, activating joint supervision will build a strong connection between departments that have the same fields of study and will have a significant impact on the advancement of scientific research. This college also has well-defined studies for expansion in the next coming years toward other disciplines such as information security

My message to our dear students is “having a university degree from our college will arm you with the necessary knowledge to find solutions for real-life problems throughout technology which may transform your life or other people’s life. We have many examples throughout history such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and many other peoples……., now it is your turn.
