In an international academic celebration, Kirkuk University launches a conference to develop medicinal plants and promote the sustainability of plant resources.

With the participation of the University President, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, the Medicinal and Industrial Plants Conference commenced at Kirkuk University. The event was attended by the University President's assistants, deans of faculties, academic figures, members of the Provincial Council, and specialized researchers from Arab and foreign countries.The University President emphasized the need for a map of medicinal plant cultivation, the identification of necessary support programs for each specific region, and the importance of issuing quality and product certifications to facilitate product marketing.Discussions among attendees, including researchers, farmers, technicians, and investors, focused on the importance of encouraging investments based on sound scientific and technical principles, the necessity of utilizing neglected land and smallholdings, and promoting investment in industries that rely on these products.
