As part of the university's plan to transition to alternative energy sources, Kirkuk University has begun working on alternative energy projects

Kirkuk University has begun installing alternative energy (solar power) systems in the university's main building and several colleges. This initiative aims to create a clean environment suitable for the campus and reduce toxic emissions that affect the health of university staff and students. The university president emphasized to all colleges the importance of installing solar power systems and utilizing them to provide electricity for smart classrooms, scientific laboratories, and administrative offices.
