About the Department

The Department of Mathematics was established in 2002 as one of the departments of the College of Science / University of Mosul and the first batch of the department was graduated in 2005-2006 and awarded a bachelor's degree in mathematics and since its inception the department has worked to develop the capabilities and capabilities of the teaching staff and the technical and administrative staff and build laboratories and equip them with the latest scientific equipment and follow a modern curriculum and follow modern methods in teaching and the acquisition and delivery of information and arm its students with science and knowledge so that the graduate performs his role in development efficiently and successfully

Department Objectives

1- Exerting efforts to cultivate a love of specialization among the department student by clarifying the importance of mathematics and its uses in various areas of life

2- Preparing outstanding students as a first step on the way to completing their postgraduate studies to obtain a master's degree and a doctorate

3- Preparing specialized cadres to work in various state institutions in the fields of modeling, operations research, statistics and computers
