English A Journey of Science and Giving... An Honor Befitting a Distinguished Academic Stature
The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Raji Ayed, along with the teaching staff in the Department of Physics, celebrated Prof. Dr. Issa Zein Al-Abidin Hassan on the occasion of his retirement, in appreciation of his academic and scientific journey full of giving and achievements.
Prof. Dr. Issa Zein Al-Abidin Hassan is considered one of the distinguished scientific competencies in the field of theoretical physics and solid-state physics. He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from Al-Nahrain University in 2001, and his career spanned more than three decades in the service of higher education and scientific research.
During his scientific career, he held many academic and administrative positions at Kirkuk University, including Head of the Physics Department, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Director of the Computer Center, actively contributing to the development of the educational and administrative process. He also supervised more than 10 master's and doctoral theses and published 22 scientific research papers in various physics specializations, in addition to participating in many development programs and courses inside and outside Iraq, most notably the Fulbright Program at the University of Florida.
On this occasion, the attendees expressed their deep appreciation for his scientific and educational efforts that enriched the department's and the college's journey, emphasizing that his contributions will remain a prominent mark in the memory of his students and colleagues, and wishing him continued health and success in his future life.
