College of Education for Pure Sciences Organizes a Seminar on "Illegal Migration"

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mustafa Raji Ayed, Dean of the College, the University Psychological Counseling Division, in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit, held an awareness seminar attended by students.

The seminar indicated that the University of Kirkuk places great importance on raising awareness to confront all forms of illegal migration, in addition to educating students and encouraging them to work within the homeland. Furthermore, the session addressed the psychological and emotional influences that lead to such migration and discussed methods to address them. It was noted that the seminar contributes to identifying migration issues and confronting the negative perceptions associated with them.

The seminar discussed several key axes, most notably:

• Defining the concept of illegal migration.

• Identifying methods to combat illegal migration.

• Examining the damages and risks resulting from illegal migration.

• Providing advice and guidance to limit and reduce illegal migration.
